METHODOLOGY
Horizontal Rule

For a web site to deliver results, you need a sound strategic plan. So before we design your site, we develop a comprehensive strategy designed to deliver tangible results on time and within your budget.

 Consultation Phase

Digidev.net receives a request from a prospective client. The request is examined. The client is asked to complete the Client Consultation Form and return it to us for review. Once the Client Consultation Form is reviewed, we begin to develop the site specifications. This is where we formulate an understanding of your business, your goals and the scope of the project. We document all the functional specifications of your website and produce the project proposal outlining the specifications, website flow and cost of the project. Once the proposal is approved, we forward to the client a Website Development Agreement. Once we receive the signed agreement, required content (including graphics, if necessary) and initial payment (50% of total cost), we begin preparation of the content.

During this phase the required content and graphics is separated into its individual pages. Once the page documents are completed, the client will be contacted for review of the content. When approved, we begin the Template development process.

The Template Development Phase is where the bulk of the time in development is spent. We use the approved website specification sheet as our guide to creating a rewarding experience for both the website visitor and the client. A site map is created during this phase to visually document the various paths through the site.

Once the template and site map is complete, we schedule a review of the template with the client. This is the first opportunity the client has to "see" what the site will look like. We take a virtual tour of the site with the client and document any concerns or changes to the website. If changes or modifications are required, we complete the changes and begin the review process again. We continue this process until the client is satisfied with the project or decides to terminate the contract. Once the client is satisfied and approval is given, we begin preparation for the Prototype development process.

During this phase website template is coded for viewing through a web browser. It is also during this phase that the server is prepared for posting of the site. Email addresses are set-up and verified. At this stage only one child level of the site is completely coded.

At this stage, the client will have a "real world" view of the site flow while allowing room for further modifications. Once the pages have been coded, we schedule another review of the site with the client. At this review, the client will be able to "click" through the site. The client again has the opportunity to request changes or modifications to the site. At this point, the project should be very close if not right on the specifications for the site outlined in the Project Proposal and Website Development Agreement. Due to this, the client is restricted to only two modifications with incurring additional costs, unless the modifications are required to meet the specifications of the agreement. It is at this phase we verify that all the required content and graphics have been included. Once verified and approved by the client to proceed, we prepare the site for posting.

step image Site Posting Phase

We "post" the site on the clients' server and continue testing the functionality of the site. At this phase we begin submitting the site to the most popular search engines and begin marketing and advertising.

The client has another opportunity to request modifications of the site at this stage. If the request(s) is to bring the site into compliance with the approved specifications, there are no costs involved in completing the modifications. Modifications that are in addition to the specifications approved are billed at an hourly rate ($75.00/hr). It is during this phase that the client "receives" the project in completion. Once the client has completed the Agreement Completion form and made final payment, the site is released to the client.

Measurement/Maintenance Phase

We maintain an ongoing relationship with our clients after the site has been "posted." We take monthly measurements of the site activity and position in the most popular search engines for three months without the client incurring additional costs. At the end of the three months the client can elect to have our company continue to maintain the site. If so desired, the client will be required to sign a Maintenance Agreement that outlines our responsibilities during this phase. There is a minimum fee of 1 hour cost per month during this phase.
